Our GATE students are learning the importance of working together as a team to help build leadership skills. Our unit on leadership and elections is providing an opportunity for students to research and discuss various issues facing the nation.
The students really enjoyed the lesson in 3D design and printing provided by Mindgear Labs on 11/2/2016. The students were able to design key chains and necklaces to be printed during the field trip on Nov. 18, 2016.
WOW!!!! October has been very exciting in our GATE classes. We have been learning about the criteria required to be a great leader. The students have identified what leadership qualities our next President should exemplify. The students collaborated to design campaign posters representing their choice for President. Each poster was designed to represent the leadership quality they feel is needed to lead the NATION. The students have researched and discussed the issues facing the country and the presidential candidates proposed resolution to the issues. After discussion of the issues the students created brochures to explain their candidates position. The students are also completing team building activities to assist in improving leadership skills.
Welcome to GATE! The students are excited about the start of classes for the '16-'17 school year. The year has started with a unit on leadership and elections. What a great way to start the year as the nation prepares to elect a new president! Stay tuned for exciting updates.
